The Greater Blue Mountains Drive traverses a number of distinct tourism regions. Each of these regions has its own character, range of attractions, and position in relation to the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

The Greater Blue Mountains Drive aims to 'deliver' visitors to these regions and encourage them to explore further through the Discovery Trails with the assistance of the local accredited Visitor Information Centres.
